Why is Christianity dangerous
It all starts in the church, where priests tell lies by omitting the whole truth in the Bible, so people are misguided. You will never hear all the brutalities in the Old Testament, orchestrated by God or his prophets. What I remember now is Moses saying to his generals after he won a battle: “Now therefore, kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has known man by lying with him.” That is the English standard version of Numbers 31:17, which continues in Numbers 31:18: “Only the young girls who are virgins may live; you may keep them for yourselves.” You will never hear that Jesus intended his teachings only for the Jews. When a non-jew woman asked His help, He said: “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.” (Matthew 15:24-39). There is more about it, how non-Jews converted to “Jesus’ way,” but this is beyond the scope of this post. The New Testament is about love coming from Jesus for everybody. What love is that when he runs away when Herolds orders the killing of all boys under two years old to get Him too? Did he lose His powers temporarily? That could be a good question. And what love is that, for everybody (as Christians say), when referring to those who do not believe His message, says: Mathew 10:34-36: “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the Earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law — a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.” The sad news is that most Christians are numb to genocide in God’s name. It happened throughout history, and the more power the church had, the more the brutalities. The Crusaders entering some villages killed every non-Christian. The Pope apologized for that but never condemned them. Middle Ages are called “The Dark Ages” because of the church’s brutalities. In modern times, Ruwanda’s Catholic church orchestrated the killing of 80 percent of the Tutsi population. Once again, the Pope apologized but did not condemn the action. Serbian Orthodox Church is still proud of the genocide in Bosnia. Russian Orthodox Church blessed the war in Ukraine. Everybody is free to believe what they want. But the hate the Christians have against all those who do not share their beliefs could turn a powerful country like the US back to the Dark Ages. It is dangerous voting for a convict, a laying machine clown, only because he threatened the other religions or promised (not even he knew what the promise was), “Vote for me, and you will never need to vote again.” Believing that a guy (mocking them by keeping the Bible upside-down) in his speeches mentions Hell quite often, but never Jesus is a Messiah is beyond any logic. The danger is that the US is the most powerful nation on Earth, and the consequences are for everybody on the planet. Poor America, and poor us. How dangerous is blind faith?
